ETS 95-98 Nissan 240sx Budget Turbo Kit ETS-240sx-Budget-Kit [ETS-240sx-Budget-Kit]  $2,250.00

Budget KA24DE Turbo Kit Includes

  • ETS Stainless Steel Equal Length Manifold
  • Tial 38mm Wastegate
  • Precision S-Cover Turbocharger
  • 3.0" Downpipe

This kit is good for anyone looking for the core components of a S14 KA24DE Turbo Kit.

The ETS Turbo kit for the KA24 powered S14 (95-98) will transform your vehicle from being just a peppy coupe to a tire burning monster. Your new car will be right at home on the street, drag strip of drift course. Our unique manifold and turbo combination virtually eliminates turbo lag, and with a power capability of over 400whp, it can provide 11 second Time slips and long 2nd and 3rd gear drifts. All aspects of this kit are designed with performance and ease of installation in mind. This kit is one of the only kits that does not require battery relocation, fan shroud removal, A/C Line splitting, or crash beam cutting. With an installation time of 5-6hrs you will be on your way to the track in no time.

At the heart of the KA Turbo kit is a fully TIG welded, Heavy Wall Stainless Steel, Equal Length Manifold. This manifold is manufactured out of the highest grade 304L stainless, and with a wall thickness of 1/8" it will never crack. To ensure the ultimate in flow and to equalize back pressure at all cylinders we use a 10deg. Merge collector to join the runners to the turbo flange. This collector makes a smooth transition of each runner into the turbo, and furthermore it harnesses the pressure wave action of each cylinder to help scavenge the others. This results in less back pressure, quick spool up, and great top end power. It is truly a case where everything gains and there is no trade off (except in expense and production time). Our manifold has been flow bench designed and dyno and track tested to ensure that nothing was left on the table.

From the manifold the exhaust travels to a Genuine Garrett t3/t4 turbo. The turbo we use goes hand in hand with our manifold, and because of the efficiency and flow of our manifold we are able to use a slightly larger turbo than normal and still retain quick spool up. Our decision upon which turbo to use is the result of many hours of study including several compressor maps, and turbine options. After we found what we felt would be the best turbo in theory, it was off to the dyno and track for real world testing to ensure our turbo selection was appropriate. The result is astonishing; we have a system that produces full spool up by 3000rpm and is capable of 500hp with the supporting fuel modifications. Our turbo is a 57trim compressor, and stage 3 turbine with a .48 A/R. This compressor section works extremely well with the 2.4L displacement of the 240sx. With the stage one kit even in the spool up stage of 3000rpm the turbo is operating in it's 71% efficiency range, then as the RPM's rise it reaches it's peak efficiency range of 76% at 5000rpm, and stays in a 73-76% efficiency range to redline (6500rpm rev limiter), all of this is at 10psi boost (280-300hp). The real excitement comes when the boost is increased to 18psi (350-400hp) at stage 2. In stage 2 the turbo will reach 73% efficiency at 3000rpm and stay in the 75-76% efficiency range until redline. After stage 2 the turbo is capable of 30psi (500hp), but will be happiest at 15-25psi (450hp).

From the turbo, the exhaust exits through a polished stainless steel 3.0" down pipe. Our down pipe is designed to for maximum clearance to both the steering shaft and the brake reservoir. We made sure that there would be no brake fluid boiling issues as is a problem with some other 240sx Kits. To control the turbo we use a genuine Tial 38mm wastegate, which is set at 8psi from the factory, and is set up to re-circulate the spent gasses. The down pipe will hook up to your stock Mid pipe, of any other exhaust systems that terminate at the stock manifold.
