This is absolutely NOT a crash bar. This is strictly for chassis rigidity.

Will this show with a trimmed lower grill on bumper
No, this sits behind the bumper cover. Trimming the grill portion won't effect this.

Is the wrx 15+ support brace still a "pretty release?" Also is it visible from behind the bumper once installed?
It is not visable once the bumper cover is installed.
