The upper intercooler piping starts with a smooth mandrel bent 2.5" stock turbo outlet pipe which connects to the remainder of the hot side piping. The stock turbo outlet pipe is separate to allow it to be swapped out with the installation of our EVO X turbo kit to come so that the remainder of the upper piping can be retained. This ensures that you never have to "upgrade an upgrade" and spend more money on a new upper pipe when it comes time for a turbo kit. Making the connection from the turbo outlet pipe to the intercooler is a single-piece mandrel bent 2.5" upper intercooler pipe.

The ETS Mitsubishi Evolution X Upper Pipe removes the restrictive factory pipe which necks down to 1.75" before the turbo outlet and replaces it with a full 2.5" upper intercooler pipe which helps with throttle response as well as reliability. The factory hoses are prone to ballooning and blowing off under high boost.

  • Is there a torque spec for the clamps?

    We use stainless steel intercooler piping, so you can tighten the clamps down pretty snug without the risk of crushing any piping, but you don't need any specific torque spec beyond hand tight!

  • I must be missed it on the description, but are these aluminum or steel, or titanium?

    This is stainless steel but we do offer a titanium option

  • Can you provide all sizes of t-clamps ?

    Yes, here are the following couplers and clamps you need for the upper pipe.

    Turbocharger Connection - 2.5" to 1.75" coupler, (1) Breeze TB263 T-Bolt and (1) Breeze TB200 T-Bolt
    Rear Pipe to 90 Degree Pipe Connection - 2.5" coupler, (2) Breeze T263 T-bolt
    90 Degree Pipe to Intercooler Connecftion - 2.5" coupler. (2) Breeze TB263 T-bolt

  • My upper pipe to turbo coupler was torn. I am not sure what size coupler I would need to replace the it. I have a 2014 Evo X GSR

    The coupler from the intercooler pipe to the turbo outlet is a 1.75" to 2.50" Straight Reducing Coupler.

  • Does this part fit for a ralliart if I upgrade to the ets intercooler for the ralliart as well?

    Yes, this kit is REQUIRED in order to run our FMIC on the Ralliart, it will not work with the OEM Ralliart Upper Piping.
