This part allows you to swap from a Non-Resonated midpipe to a Resonated or vice versa. The resonator will dictate the tone of the exhaust, but has very little/no impact on overall volume.
Resonated - Smoother, more refined exhaust note
Non-Resonated - Throaty, raspy, more aggressive exhaust note
I recently purchased the resonated midpipe for the ETS Extreme catback setup. I was running the non resonated muffler delete for a while and loved it. But after purchasing the ETS Turbo kit with the headers and j-pipe it was much louder then the original sound. Don’t get me wrong it sounded nasty and I got a lot of compliments on the sound. I just go to work early and have retired neighbors that I want to respect and the extremely loud cold start at 5 am made me feel kinda rude. The resonated midpipe made a difference. No drone at highway speeds and a little quieter cold start. My wife and son says the liked the old sound better but I like the resonated sound better. As always ETS came through with high quality welds and a great product. Shelby is awesome to deal with. I’m a big fan of ETS products.
